Office Assistant Role and Responsibilities

Role: The Office Assistant’s role is to maintain the office operations. This role helps with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the company.

Responsibilities: The Office Assistant is responsible for organizing the office and assisting employees to optimize workflow.

  1. Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner
  2. Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
  3. Schedule and plan meetings and appointment for Human Resource Manager
  4. Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages by ordering
  5. Resolve office related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues
  6. Prescreen job candidates for Human Resource Manager
  7. Coordinate calendars with other employees throughout the company
  8. Courier services
  9. Maintain office filing
  10. Keep office area clean and tidy
  11. Fax, scan, and copy documents
